When you’re racking up win after win, can you really say it’s a count “down” to 100? We call that a great dilemma for driver Dan Fletcher, after picking up career win number 96 in his first Super Comp against Steve Williams at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, 17th annual DENSO Spark Plugs NHRA Nationals. Knocking out records, Fletcher has won national event Wallys in five different classes, with points in Comp, Super Stock, Stock and Super Gas.

A stickler for details, Fletcher attributes his amazing winning streak to his focus on preparation. Constantly tweaking and adjusting, never letting anything on his cars slide, DENSO is proud to be his spark plug of choice as he races to his 100th win. More than 20 years after quitting his 9 to 5 corporate job, Fletcher now has a fleet of six race cars – and two sons, Thomas and Timothy, who are also national event winners. As of 2016, Dan is literally racing toward an unthinkable milestone. With six more wins, he will become the third driver in history to win 100 NHRA national event titles. DENSO is proud to support Dan Fletcher and his entire team during this monumental season.

Also racing on DENSO spark plugs, Summit teammate Greg Anderson reached the last Pro Stock elimination round Sunday in his Chevy Camaro, ending his streak in 6.755 seconds at 205.88 mph for an overall third place finish.

On a roll, KB Racing nailed its fourth consecutive win in 2016 at the DENSO Spark Plugs NHRA Nationals at the Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, with Jason Line taking his second win of the season.
