Buyers’ group also honors DENSO’s David Arriaga as 2025 Champion of the Year ―

LONG BEACH, Calif. – DENSO Products and Services Americas, Inc., an affiliate of leading global mobility supplier DENSO Corp., has been named the 2025 Supplier of Year by Automotive Parts Associates (APA)/TruStar, Inc. The industry-leading aftermarket auto parts buyers’ group also recognized David Arriaga, program manager of DENSO’s Aftermarket Sales, as Champion of the Year.

APA/TruStar is made up of independent auto parts distributors across North America and represents more than $500 million in annual purchasing power. APA acquired TruStar in 2022.

“I am profoundly honored to be named Champion of the Year and also accept Supplier of the Year on behalf of DENSO,” Arriaga said. “Both awards pay tribute to teamwork, which is the backbone of all we do at DENSO. At DENSO, teamwork produces our superior products and services. In the marketplace, teamwork means we go above and beyond to meet our customers’ needs.”

APA/TruStar announced this year’s awards during the closing banquet of its annual conference held March 21-24 in New Orleans. Supplier of the Year recognizes the vendor that creates the most overall value for APA/TruStar shareholders, members and customers based the supplier’s outstanding fill rate, exceptional catalog, availability of new part numbers, strong field support and top-notch sales training. The 2025 honor marks the fifth time in seven years DENSO has captured the prestigious supplier award. Over the years, DENSO has also earned other APA honors.

Champion of the Year is a new APA/TruStar award, and Arriaga is its first recipient. The award honors an individual whose dedication and commitment has fueled the overall success of the buyers’ group.

Founded in 1973 and headquartered in Collierville, Tennessee, APA/TruStar is one of the auto industry’s oldest program distribution groups operating as a member-owned, not-for-profit cooperative. The organization’s membership includes more than 70 independent warehouse distributors with more than 300 locations and 400 retail stores. APA/TruStar announces its awards in conjunction with its shareholder and supplier conference held annually in March.
