Industry veteran to oversee DENSO’s aftermarket sales expansion strategy
LONG BEACH, Calif. – DENSO Products and Services Americas, Inc., a division of leading global automotive supplier DENSO Corp., has named Joseph Mejaly senior vice president of Sales. In the newly created position, Mejaly is responsible for the development and execution of the sales expansion strategy for all DENSO aftermarket products and services, as well as the company’s nonautomotive robotics, air conditioning and heating, and automated data capture divisions.
Mejaly is a seasoned automotive industry executive who joins DENSO with more than 30 years of experience, including three years as president of his own strategic planning firm, JLJ&H Consulting LLC. Aftermarket sector growth, product development and operational efficiency are among his areas of expertise.

Mejaly has held top management positions in leading automotive manufacturing companies. Most recently, he rose to CEO at AxleTech International, a global manufacturer and supplier of axles, suspension systems and related components for on-road and off-road commercial vehicles and heavy-duty equipment. He previously served as president of the Worldwide Aftermarket and Trailer Business group of Meritor, Inc., a global supplier of drivetrain, mobility, braking and aftermarket products and technology. In these and other high-level positions, Mejaly has overseen mergers and acquisitions, brand management, sales and marketing, remanufacturing operations and third-party logistics.
During his career, Mejaly has twice co-chaired the commercial industries leading aftermarket conference; Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week (HDAW), and is a past member of HDMA’s Heavy Duty Business Forum. HDMA is a division of the Motor and Equipment Manufacturers Association (MEMA), which represents more than 1,000 companies that manufacture vehicle components and systems for the original equipment and aftermarket industries.
A native of Michigan, Mejaly holds a Bachelor of Science in marketing from Western Michigan University. He joined DENSO Products and Services Americas at its headquarters in Long Beach on Dec. 1.
